Education

At RHFCM we believe that education is the key to success. And we believe that it is our duty to make sure those whom we support get quality education.

What percentage of kids go to school in Haiti?

In Haiti, the net school enrollment rate is around 60%. The lack of resources, both at the family and state levels, deprives many children of their right to have a school education. About 375,000 children between the ages of 6 and 11, one-third of this group, are not in school.

Education lessens the challenges you will face in life. The more knowledge you gain the more opportunities will open up to allow individuals to achieve better possibilities in career and personal growth. Education has played an important role in the career world of the twenty-first century.

Medical Care

Sixty percent of Haiti ‘s population is deprived of basic health-care services. Diarrhea, respiratory infections, malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS are the leading causes of death. In our Bombardopolis location, a person has to walk more than 25 miles to get to the nearest hospital. No medical attention and even death is usually the result.  Our mission is to offer medical care; life-skill training and HIV prevention education based on biblical values; and counseling for orphans, widows and families. With Nurses, Doctors, Dentists, Hygienist as volunteers, we can offer a health drive with mobile clinics that will provide basic services such as flue shots, immunizations, and HIV/AIDS testing. Education and supplies for sanitation and safe hygiene will also be in need.

Feeding Haiti

One out of every five children dies from malnutrition, dehydration and diarrhea. Feeding Haiti is a two part initiative that will (1) provide emergency food aid that will ensure that nutritious foods are supplied to help to better the children’s welfare and (2) improve water supply through purification and treatment. We will also be assisting residents in agricultural needs and education to insure the right foods are being cultivated. In order for this to happen, we will need tons of volunteer aid and attention to be drawn to the current conditions.

Evangelism

RHFCM has the special mission of spreading the word of God all across Haiti and to those who are willing to listen. Through this ministry many souls have come to Christ, but many more are still rebellious. We currently have two churches in Haiti ; one in Port-au-Prince , and the other in Bombardopolis. If you are interested in missionary work, there is an opportunity for you to come on short term or long term missions to share the Gospel. Individuals, Preachers, and Evangelists are all welcome; our church’s doors are wide open for crusade.
“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” – Mark 16:15
